One Shocking NSFW Example Is All It Took for Seth Meyers to Expose GOP’s Trump Hype.NH

“Late Night” host Seth Meyers clowned Republicans on Monday for declaring that President Donald Trump had an “overwhelming mandate to do basically whatever he wants” in his second term.
Meyers aired a supercut of conservatives claiming that the president got a “historic,” “clear,” “great” and “massive mandate” from Americans, an apparent nod to a line from his election victory speech last year.
“Now generally speaking, if you have a really big mandate, you don’t have to tell people about it,” Meyers quipped.
“And if that’s the first thing you brag about, it is a turnoff. It’s like if a guy’s Tinder bio said, ‘Loves hiking, plays board games, has a very big you-know-what’…”
Meyers later said it “quickly became clear” that conservatives were “wrong” about a so-called mandate, noting that Trump didn’t win a majority of the popular vote and his approval ratingcratered just months into his second term.
He then flipped to a “vivid illustration” showing that the GOP wasn’t as “wildly popular” as they claimed to be: news coverage of “No Kings” protests against Trump over the weekend including a demonstration in Boston.
“Look at that crowd!” Meyers joked. “There hasn’t been a crowd that big in Boston since Dunkin called ‘Win A Free Munchkin Every Time You Scream Jeter Sucks!’”
