Dolly Parton Stayed Silent Through the Storm—Until One Family Message Changed Everything. ML
The 79-year-old’s heartfelt message comes shortly after her sister, Dolly Parton, received an outpouring of support from loved ones and fans alike.
On October 7, Dolly’s sister Freida Parton shared a touching Facebook post, calling on “prayer warriors” everywhere to join her in praying for Dolly’s recovery.
“Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly,” Freida wrote. “Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been led to ask everyone around the world who loves her to become prayer warriors and pray with me.”
She concluded the post with words of hope and love:
“She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you! ❤️”
Dolly Parton was seen attending the premiere of Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs In Symphony at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville on March 20, 2025.
Earlier, on September 28, Dolly herself shared an update about her health via social media, announcing the postponement of her upcoming Las Vegas concerts.
“As many of you know, I’ve been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors have advised that I need to undergo a few procedures,” she explained. “Because of this, I won’t be able to rehearse or prepare the show the way I want to — and the way you deserve to see it. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my very best for you.”
