Country artist Chris Stapleton appears on the newly released soundtrack for the second season of Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, performing a new original song titled “Heart Letting Go.”
The 19-song album, assembled by Simon Tikhman of The Core Entertainment in partnership with Interscope Records, includes contributions from Kacey Musgraves and Ella Langley alongside Stapleton.
Written by Stapleton and Alan Anderson, “Heart Letting Go” explores the end of a relationship and features background vocals from Stapleton’s wife, Morgane Stapleton. The track has drawn early praise for its stripped-down production and emotional delivery.
Nobody Wants This, created by Erin Foster and loosely based on her relationship with Tikhman, debuted to strong reviews in its first season, earning three Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series.
Tikhman said he wanted the Season 2 soundtrack to “reflect the same mix of honesty, sharpness, and heart” found in the show’s writing.
Season 2 of Nobody Wants This is now available for streaming on Netflix.
