For those unaware, Dan Orlovsky loves providing in-depth NFL analysis by posting game film on his “X” account. With over 730,000 followers there, Orlovsky has become popular for the savvy, creative and detailed breakdowns of plays for his audience.
Here is one example of what Orlovsky provided to his followers:https://platform.twitter.com/embed/Tweet.html?
When another user asked him why he can’t post NFL video content, Orlovsky merely stated he was told “no more” by the league:
The 42-year-old Orlovsky and the league didn’t provide specific details on this matter, but it’s presumably because of copyright issues involving the NFL’s subscription-based All-22 film feature.
Before beginning his career as an NFL analyst, Orlovsky was a journeyman backup quarterback who played from 2004 to 2016. He made 12 starts over his career, including seven on the 0-16 Detroit Lions squad in 2008.
Orlovsky appeared in 26 games altogether and threw 15 touchdowns against 13 interceptions, last appearing for the Lions in the 2015 season.

Dan Orlovsky’s contract with ESPN expired earlier this year, and there was speculation that he would leave the Worldwide Leader in Sports for the rival CBS network.
But in July, ESPN announced that they signed Orlovsky to a multi-year extension to continue his coverage on “NFL Live”, “Monday Night Football”, “The Pat McAfee Show”, “First Take”, “SportsCenter” and “Get Up”.
We’ve seen ESPN lose plenty of big-named talents since 2023, most recently “First Take” host Molly Qerim in a stunning development. But Orlovsky isn’t going anywhere, at least not any time soon.
