Observations:

  • No surprise on Daniels, as it was confirmed earlier in the week that he would not play this week. Marcus Mariota will start in his place.
  • Payne is listed as questionable, but was unable to log a single practice this week. It would be a big blow to Washington’s defensive line, which just lost star defensive end Dorance Armstrong for the season, if Payne can’t play against Kansas City.
  • Gay popped up on the Commanders’ injury report on Saturday with a back injury, and is listed as questionable.
  • After both missed last week’s game, Commanders top WRs McLaurin and Samuel are good to go for Monday night.
  • Yankoff, who is mainly a special teams contributor for Washington, is out after injuring his hamstring earlier this week.

Observations:

  • Simmons will miss his third consecutive game as he deals with a personal family matter. Jaylon Moore will once again start in his place.
  • Smith did not log a single practice this week and is listed as doubtful for Monday night. Veteran Mike Caliendo, who filled in for Smith last week, will get the start.
  • Hunt progressed to a full participant during Saturday’s practice and will play against Washington
