Whoopi Goldberg breaks silence on her dramatic weight loss revealing the unexpected way she measures her transformation.NH

Whoopi Goldberg and Kelly Clarkson just had a heart-to-heart on The Kelly Clarkson Show about their respective weight loss journeys, each revealing details they had never shared publicly before.

Goldberg began the discussion after Clarkson commented on her youthful appearance, quipping that the 68-year-old View cohost looked like Benjamin Button.

“First of all, it’s all the weight I’ve lost, ’cause I’ve lost almost two people,” Goldberg told Clarkson on the May 13 episode as the audience applauded.

“I’m doing that wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help, and it’s been really good for me,” the Ghost actress shared.

As Clarkson, 42, and Goldberg discussed how neither one of them had realized the changes in their own weight, the EGOT winner explained to Clarkson how it was pointed out to her by someone who thought she was wearing a “fat suit” in one of her movies.

“I did a film called Till last year, about Emmett Till, and [this woman] said, ‘The movie’s good but that fat suit’s terrible. I was indignant: ‘This is not a fat suit, this is me!” Goldberg recalled.

She also joked about how not having a partner made it easier for her to be oblivious.

“If you’re not rollin’ over on somebody, then there’s gonna be nobody there [to tell you],” Goldberg quipped. (While Goldberg has been married three times, her frank comments about not wanting to live with a man have made so many iconic headlines over the years they’ve since turned into memes of their own.)

While Clarkson admitted she had, in fact, been seeing someone at the time but was still unaware of a change in her body type, Goldberg joked that her situation was a little different. “See, I rolled over and I thought, ‘Ooh. Did I just press my own pants?'” she joked, before getting serious: “See, I was 300 pounds.”

Goldberg previously revealed that she had been seeing significant results from using Mounjaro, telling Page Six in March that the weight loss medication was “the only way [doctors] could jumpstart [her] system.”

The 300 lbs. “was a lot of weight for me to be carrying, and I didn’t realize how much weight I was carrying,” she told the outlet at the time. “I mean, I saw myself every day, but it didn’t look strange to me, and then I couldn’t breathe.”
