When Tom Brady Speaks, You Listen — And He Just Praised Jalen Hurts’ Week 8 Masterclass.QQ

Jalen Hurts is getting the credit he deserves for his Week 8 performance.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts put on a solid performance in Sunday’s 38-20 win over the New York Giants.
Hurts finished the game completing 15 of 20 passes for 179 yards and four touchdowns, all while leading 427 yards of total offense. Those numbers were enough to earn Tom Brady’s respect and his LFG Player of the Game award.
Brady was even more impressed that Hurts was able to put up those numbers without his top wide receiver, A.J. Brown.

Hurts said that the Eagles’ getting their run game going really helped him balance out the passing game.
“I think more importantly, we were able to run the ball, almost running for about 300 yards. That allowed us to play efficiently in the past game,” Hurts said. “We still have things out there that we want to take advantage of and play a little cleaner, but those guys stepped up in a big way. Jahan, that’s a hell of a catch to kind of put a dagger in the game. Smitty taking advantage of his opportunities. Those guys have been in the right spots and doing what we prepared to do. So a lot of love for those guys, for the way they prepared for this week. “
Eagles’ offense played tough through all 4 quarters
The win marked the first time all season that the Eagles’ offense looked complete and played through all four quarters. It was also a huge change-up from when they lost to the Giants, 34-17, two weeks ago.
Sure, playing consistently looks great to the public eye, but to Hurts, all he cares about is coming out as a winner.
“We wanted to come out here and play our brand of football, and that looks different from week to week. But as well as anyone, it’s about winning, and so coming out here being efficient, trying to stay ahead of the sticks, capitalize in situational football, win that, and then be good on third down.”
The Eagles are 6-2 heading into their Bye week, with nothing to prove to the naysayers, but Hurts prefers them to keep talking.
“I like it that way. I like it that way. I just smiled and accept the challenge that comes,” Hurts said. “And got a great team. We got a great team. Got great guys with great competitive character, and we just want to continue to build.
