CMA Voting Just Closed — And Fans Are Stunned When They Learn Who Really Picks the Winners.LC

Voting has officially closed for the Country Music Association Awards (CMAs).
The CMAs will air live from Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 19, but the 7,152 eligible voters from across the country music industry had to submit their final votes Oct. 29.
The voting process included three rounds:
- Round 1 Nomination Ballot: Voters could write in any artist or project they believed deserved a nomination. Those were due July 7.
- Round 2 Second Ballot: The top 20 vote-getters from the first round moved forward in every category except for entertainer of the year, which was the top 15. Members could vote for up to five candidates in each category, and the top contenders became nominees. This closed on Aug. 18.
- Round 3 Final Ballot: Members chose one winner per race. The deadline was Oct. 29.
