The Fox News provocateur who made insults his art form is about to test whether Boise will laugh — or boo.NH

Greg Gutfeld is a mean-spirited little man.

Wait, did I just say that? In some circles, pointing out a guy’s height — or conspicuous lack of it, in Gutfeld’s pint-sized case — might be considered uncool. Cruel, even.

But Gutfeld, the smug star of Fox News’ “Gutfeld!” and “The Five,” wouldn’t have any problem with it. (This is a dude, incidentally, who once hired three dwarfs to create a ruckus at a magazine conference.)

Gutfeld, who will headline the Ford Idaho Center on May 2, 2026, literally traffics in what many consider unkind mockery. Fans who attend his tour — which mostly is visiting arenas — will enthusiastically anticipate the same brand of left-bashing, divisive humor and politics that make Gutfeld, 61, one of the most popular, recognizable faces on Fox News.

“I bet you’ve read and heard some of the labels applied to your comedy — insult conservatism, mean, provocative,” NPR host Scott Simon told Gutfeld in an interview earlier this year.

Gutfeld’s response? He is “fun.”

“Anytime somebody describes something as mean, it’s because it doesn’t align with their beliefs, and they’re kind of upset about it, but also, they kind of wish that they had the freedom to say it as well. I take it as a badge of honor if somebody says that I’m being mean, and I’m just having fun.”

What about telling a joke about Asian drivers that some — such as his NPR interviewer — find racist?

“If you don’t find it fun, that’s OK,” Gutfeld said.

Fans in the Boise area who go to the Nampa show also will see comedian Tom Shillue, another familiar face to Fox News viewers. Tickets become available to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday for $47.99-$297.99 through the Ford Idaho Center.

Oh, and for the record? Gutfeld reportedly is 5-foot-5. Same height as Kevin Hart.

(If only his stand-up measured up similarly.)

“I know,” Gutfeld told NPR, “what it’s like to have a parade described to me by a tall 12-year-old.”
