The Betting Line for Chiefs vs. Raiders Isn’t Just Numbers—it Tells the Full Story of Vegas’ Season So Far.QQ

The Kansas City Chiefs are on a roll (with very good reasons to believe they’re going to get much better). The Las Vegas Raiders are not. Oddsmakers aren’t going to avoid the obvious.
As the Chiefs prepare to host the Raiders for the first of their two scheduled games this season, the home team has been positioned as heavy favorites heading into Week 7. Shortly after the conclusion of the previous week’s games, the Chiefs came out as 11.5-point favorites over the Raiders heading a new weeks of practice.
That’s a vast chasm for two teams without a winning record, but there’s very real momentum at work for the Chiefs, who have won three of their last four games since starting 0-2 to start the year. The offense is clicking, and they’re fresh off of a dominant victory over the Detroit Lions—one that came on a short week.
The Chiefs are heavy favorites—as they should be—entering Week 7 against the visiting Raiders.
Even better for the Chiefs is the news that Rashee Rice is free to return following a six-game suspension levied upon him to start the season. Rice has been missing in action since Week 4 of the 2024 campaign, so his addition should be a major boost for a unit that’s already having no issues putting up points.
That said, Raiders fans might be glad to see that others might be overlooking their most recent win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 6. While the team is still only 2-4, Pete Carroll’s team looked very good in the 20-10 victory on both sides of the ball. Maxx Crosby is always going to be a problem and playmakers like Michael Mayer and Tre Tucker stepped up to provide an offensive spark.
Given the hype around Patrick Mahomes and the Chief following a primetime win over a contender like the Lions, and the buzz around Rice’s return, no one is going to be showing Las Vegas any respect this week. That includes the oddsmakers. Only time will tell if that was a mistake to think a rival would go soft against K.C.
