Taylor Swift drops ‘Wood,’ a daring tribute to Travis Kelce that’s already being called her most scandalous track.NN

Taylor Swift is stepping into her most risqué era yet.

So, Swifties, buckle in and get your minds in the gutter for this one.

Track No. 9 kicks off with Swift lamenting her bad luck with past boyfriends as she sings, “Daisy’s bare naked / I was distraught / He loves me not / He loves me not.”

“Penny’s unlucky / I took him back and then / Stepped on a crack / And the black cat laughed.”

Following a string of bad boyfriends, she encounters Kelce, and together “we make our own luck,” a reference to the many times the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has called her his “good luck charm.”

After saying she doesn’t need to “knock on wood” not to jinx their relationship, she goes on to sing, “It’s you and me forever dancing in the dark / All over me, it’s understood.”

She ramps up the innuendos by singing, “Forgive me, it sounds cocky / He (ah!)matized [d–kmatized] me / And opened my eyes / Redwood tree / It ain’t hard to see / His love was the key / That opened my thighs.”

The songstress, 35, then makes a play on wedding terminology by singing, “Girls, I don’t need to catch the bouquet / To know a hard rock is on the way / […] / The curse on me was broken by your magic wand.”

And if by now fans had no idea the song was about the football star, she goes on to sing, “New Heights of manhood / I ain’t gotta knock on wood,” fully calling out Kelce’s sports podcast.

Her cheeky lyrics took Swifties by surprise, who took to social media to share their reactions to the song.

Many noticed that the mention of “Redwood tree” was a reference to a 2016 tweet that read, “Swifties when Ariana sings about sex and doesn’t write it like ‘he stuck his long wood into my redwood forest and let his sap ferment my roots.”

“I refuse to believe Wood is a real song by Taylor Swift. I refuse,” another person tweeted jokingly.

Even Nicki Minaj, who has previously performed with Swift, said, “Oh Taylor #WOOD was EXACTLY what I needed tonight. Thank you.”

“It gives the feeling for sure but It’s prob not an actual sample,” she added when someone asked her if it reminded her of Jackson 5’s “Want You Back.” “It feels really good the same way that song feels good til this day. Hard to convey that feeling in a song/production right away on first listen. Well done. it needed that higher register & she brought it home.”

The rapper later noted in a third tweet, “lol yall I promise this is my last tweet about it but #Wood is exactly what falling in love with your soul mate “sounds like”.’

“The Life of a Showgirl” is Swift’s tribute to Kelce, who is the subject of many other songs, including “Wish List,” “Honey,” “Fate of Ophelia” and more.

However, those are all a bit more tame compared to “Wood,” which is exactly about — well, Kelce’s “meat.”

Swift released her new album a little over a month after Kelce knelt to the ground, pulled out a ring and said, “Marry me, Taylor.”

The couple, who began dating in the summer of 2023, confirmed the news via Instagram on Aug. 26 with a joint post that read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.”

The dreamy proposal, which took place in Kelce’s backyard, happened right after Swift’s podcast debut on “New Heights” in early August.

During the same podcast episode, she announced “The Life of a Showgirl,” which she wrote and recorded while on the Eras Tour in 2024.

Although details about the wedding are still unclear, sources told us that Kelce and Swift plan to tie the knot in Rhode Island, where the singer owns a property, during a “private” ceremony.
