‘The View’ Sparks Uproar by Booking Marjorie Taylor Greene on Election Day.NH

Marjorie Taylor Greene has been set as a guest of an upcoming episode of “The View.”

On Thursday’s episode, co-host Sara Haines mentioned Greene’s name as the hosts discussed the government shutdown.

“I’m happy to say that she’s going to be here on Tuesday,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said. “I don’t know how many things we agree on, but I know the one thing that she and I and all of us at this table agree on is [the shutdown] should not be affecting the American people.”

“These are decisions that you don’t have a right to—” Golberg continued, stopping herself before almost saying a curse word on-air. As she put her hands over her mouth and smirked, her co-hosts laughed and told her, “You caught it!”

As Behar noted during Golberg’s announcement, Greene’s appearance on the morning talk show comes on Nov. 4, Election Day. Greene, a Republican congresswoman form Georgia, won’t be up for reelection until the 2026 midterms, but among Tuesday’s races is that of the mayor of New York City, where “The View” is shot. After democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani earned the Democratic party’s nomination earlier this year, Greene surprisingly praised his campaign (while criticizing his policies), saying he “spoke directly to the people.”

Greene was elected to Congress in 2020, and is known nationwide for offensive remarks about several racial and religious groups and for her constant support of Donald Trump, backing his claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him.

News of Greene’s appearance on “The View” comes after a recent admission by hosts that they’d like to have more Republican guests, but often have their invitations declined.
