One team played with confusion, the other with clarity — and the Packers just showed the league which side wins in the long run.QQ

Green Bay will be forced to wear an alternate jersey in Pittsburgh to avoid both teams wearing a yellow helmet.

The Pittsburgh Steelers decided to play with an alternate uniform on “Sunday Night Football” against the Green Bay Packers. And well, you might like that decision if you’re a die-hard Steelers fan, but the uniform looks awful, to be honest.
The weirdest detail, especially for a game against the Packers, is that the Steelers will wear yellow helmets. So after a couple of years, quarterback Aaron Rodgers will wear a yellow helmet once again.

Packers will play with their all-whites
Because it would be an extremely bad look for both teams to wear yellow helmets, the Packers made the perfect decision. On Wednesday, the team announced that they will play on Sunday with their alternate all-whites — which includes white helmets, a kit they’ve had since last year.
The regular road uniforms for the Packers include white jerseys, with yellow helmets and pants. So the all-whites will certainly be a better combination to play the Steelers under these circumstances.
It’s the second (and final) time this season that the Packers will wear their all-whites. In Week 2, at Lambeau Field, the Packers had the Unite and Wear White night on “Thursday Night Football,” and the team beat the Washington Commanders 27-18. In 2024, the Packers beat the Houston Texans and the Seattle Seahawks with the kit.
It will be two consecutive weeks of alternate uniforms for Green Bay. In Week 9, the Packers will host the Carolina Panthers at Lambeau Field with their new 1923 Classic, the navy blue jerseys with a beautiful reference to the 1920s and to the history of the franchise.
It’s a special game, and the first time that the Packers will face quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The uniform matchup will be a little weird, but it won’t affect a special night for everyone involved — and hopefully for the Packers, they can keep the winning streak with their all-whites.
