Taylor Swift laughs off Zoe Kravitz’s python chaos after it wrecked her bathroom saying she’s only sad she missed the show.NH

Taylor Swift charmed the audience on the “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” The singer touched on wedding invitations, explained how her fiancé mistook Hugh Grant’s wife for a famous director, elaborated on how Zoë Kravitz’s mom accidentally let a snake loose in her Los Angeles home and answered when she finds time to sleep.

“My one and only guest this evening has 14 Grammys, the highest grossing concert tour and the number one album out right now, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’” Meyers said at the top of the show.

A standing ovation and thunderous applause in Studio 8G greeted the Eras Tour singer as she walked out in a floral black corset and miniskirt designed by Wiederhoeft.

“It’s been almost five years, but I feel like you’ve done 15 years of things,” Meyers said. “You put so much work into your art.”

“This is my 12th album release, I think it’s absolutely been my favorite one,” Swift said. On Oct. 8, Billboard announced her 12-track album eclipsed Adele’s previous sales title of 3.5 million album units. With her “Official Release Party” movie, Swift was No. 1 at the box office, on streaming and on Billboard.

“I don’t know how to say thank you enough,” Swift said to the news.

Exploring the 12th era: Everything we learned in Taylor Swift’s rollout of new album ‘Life of a Showgirl’

Invites in the mail?

Meyers brought up wedding invitations. Before an obvious jump cut away from the topic, he said he was concerned about how they would be sent. During her first talk show appearance promoting the album, Swift had told Graham Norton she wanted to have a large wedding. Meyers suggested she do an e-vite.

“I’m glad you’re bringing this up because it’s the first time I’ve thought about it,” Swift answered.

He made a quick joke granting permission to “send the invitations in a frame.”

“That’s a very nice thing to say,” Swift said smiling. Then the conversation turned to bread.

‘It’s a love story’: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged.

Bakers gonna bake

Swift brought the talk show host a couple loaves of her famous sourdough wrapped in a brown bread paper with a clear front to see the golden artistry.

“When I have a hobby, it becomes an obsession and then it becomes my entire personality,” Swift said. Tacked around the edges of the paper were stickers with clever word play of her songs mixed with baking terms: “Are you bready for this?” was a nod to her “Reputation” song, “Ready For It?”

“The bread puns,” Meyers said and Swift finished, “have to stop.”

“The Fate of Doughphelia,” he said.

“Some of my best work,” she countered. “And I feel like it’s not going to be appreciated until after it’s time.” The subtle phrase carried double meaning of how after she releases an album, it takes time for the wave of criticism to die down.

Swift put one of her loaves in “The Fate of Ophelia” music video. In the behind-the-scenes video, she becomes overjoyed that the bread gets a starring role.

“It was a huge moment for me, because obviously my bread has always been for texture and taste, right? But this was for camera,” she said to Meyers.

Travis Kelce thought Greta Gerwig was who?

In the funniest moment of the interview, Swift reflected back on Travis Kelce attending night two in London on June 22, 2024.

“The most fun thing about having Travis out on tour is he would go to the tents and give me the tea afterward,” she started. “We’d do the debrief afterward in the car.”

The tight end rubbed elbows with a packed tent of A-listers including: Hugh Grant, Tom Cruise, Liam Hemsworth, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher and director Greta Gerwig. And there may have been a healthy amount of shots in the VIP tent.

After the show, Kelce told Swift he met Gerwig and the joke he prepared didn’t land.

“I walked up to her and said, ‘I love Barbie. I’m just Ken too. And then I pointed to you,” he explained to Swift in the car. “She smiled politely, but she didn’t say anything.”

Kelce said after the awkward encounter that Gerwig danced a lot with Hugh Grant and they seemed like soulmates. As Swift scrolled through social media in the back seat, she saw a lot of social media videos of Kelce dancing with Gerwig. Confused, she asked him about it and he replied, “That’s not Greta.”

Swift quickly realized the person Kelce told the Barbie joke to was Grant’s wife Anna Eberstein.

A snake stuck in Swift’s bathroom

The singer-songwriter shared her side of the now-legendary “snake in the bathroom” saga involving Zoë Kravitz and her mom, Lisa Bonet. The two stayed in Swift’s Los Angeles home after being evacuated by the California wildfires in January. In August, Kravitz told Meyers that her mom’s pet snake, Orpheus, had gotten loose and slithered into a small hole in the corner of the bathroom.

“We just want to give you a chance to tell Taylor’s Version, if you will,” Meyers said opening the segment.

“I just remember getting a call from my head of security and him trying to explain this story to me and my first question was, ‘What snake?'” Swift said. The star hadn’t known about the extra house guest, and went on to describe how her house manager and security tried to remove it. “So Zoe Kravitz and Lisa Bonet are holding on to a Burmese python. It’s halfway in the wall. There’s a man standing with an ax, who has just chopped up a custom vintage antique cupboard.” Kravitz didn’t immediately tell Swift about the incident and she asked the singer’s team to wait until it was fixed. They didn’t listen and when Kravitz finally called, Swift responded, “I’ve been laughing about this for three weeks.” Swift had imagined it as “an Annie Leibovitz shoot” and “the chicest thing” adding “I’m sad I didn’t see it.”

Does Taylor Swift ever sleep?

Meyers and Swift met in 2009 when Swift hosted Saturday Night Live. They reminisced over her “Monologue song” and Meyers complimented the singer’s lip biting ability in the SNL short “Firelight,” which was a “Twilight” parody where Bill Hader played a high school Frankenstein rather than a vampire.

“I look back and I’m like, ‘Yes,'” she said. “This was the most exciting thing that ever happened to me in my life at 19.”

The multiple costume changes from hosting the late night variety show prepared her for the Eras Tour.

Meyers mentioned Swift loved numerology and asked her to add meaning to the 1713 episode. Aside from containing her favorite number of 13, she explained, “It adds up to 12, which is for my 12th album.”

“You just have a chalkboard in your head,” Meyers declared.

He ended by bringing the interview back to her recording her 12th album while completing the European leg of the Eras Tour. In between three hour shows, she would fly in and out of Sweden. Meyers asked a question many Swifties have thought about, “When do you sleep?”

“I actually sleep a lot and often,” she said. “It’s just that I don’t do anything other than this when I’m not sleeping… Does that make sense?”
