Morgan Wallen’s 2026 “Still The Problem” Tour Might Do What No One Else Has—Beat Zach Bryan’s Record. ML

Will the record be short-lived?
When it comes to country music superstars right now, there are really two names at the top of the list: Morgan Wallen and Zach Bryan. Who you rank at the top probably depends on your preference, but it’s undeniable that these two are the biggest artists in country music at the moment (though there’s a good argument that Luke Combs should be in that conversation too).
Morgan and Zach currently have 5 of the top 10 country albums on the Billboard Country Albums chart, with Morgan’s last three albums occupying the top 3 spots. (For reference, his Dangerous: The Double Album was released in January 2021 and has been on the chart for a staggering 250 weeks). Zach, meanwhile, holds down the 7th and 9th spots with American Heartbreak and his self-titled album, respectively, both of which have been on the chart for over 100 weeks.
They also had two of the biggest tours of 2024, with Morgan’s 2023-24 One Night At A Time World Tour becoming the highest-grossing country tour EVER, while Zach Bryan’s Quittin’ Time tour was the highest-grossing country tour of the year.
When it comes to the modern day kings of country music, these two are clearly reigning supreme.
Zach recently added another major achievement to his resumé when he set the record last month for the largest ticketed concert attendance in US history with a show at “the Big House,” Michigan Stadium on the campus of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
The previous record for the largest ticketed concert was held by George Strait, who played Texas A&M University’s Kyle Field, in College Station, Texas last June with fellow Texas natives Parker McCollum and Catie Offerman. The attendance for that show was 110,905, while Zach had 112,408 at his show in Michigan.
But that record might not stand for long either.

Today Morgan Wallen announced his 2026 Still The Problem stadium tour, which includes not one but two stops at the Big House in Ann Arbor, meaning Morgan will have two chances to break Zach’s record next summer.
If you’re not a college football fan, the Big House is the largest stadium in America, and the third-largest stadium in the world, with an official capacity of 107,601 – although it’s hosted events with up to 115,000 before. That means it’s one of only a handful of stadiums in the United States that would even be capable of hosting a record-breaking crowd.
Now, whether Morgan actually breaks the record will obviously depend a lot on how many tickets are available in the first place, which is dependant on the setup for the show. How many seats will be available on the field and in the pit, and how much room will the stage take up that will take away space for potential seats?
Morgan is also playing two nights in Michigan, so that could potentially hurt his chances at breaking Zach’s record since he only played one night.
But if there’s anybody who can take down Zach’s record, it’s Morgan Wallen. In fact, I don’t think it’s going out on a limb to say he’s the only one who could.
Whether or not it happens, we’ll know in a few months.

Brianna Chickenfry Morgan Wallen
Morgan and Zach have never really said much about each other publicly, though they have been pitted against each other not only due to their success in country music but by Zach’s ex-girlfriend, Brianna Chickenfry.

During a tell-all episode of her BFF’s podcast, Chickenfry (whose real name is Brianna Lapaglia) claims that she walked up the stairs at their NYC apartment one morning singing a line from Morgan’s song “Last Night” after hearing it on TikTok, and it turned into “a fight for a week.” Brianna recalled Zach telling her that he couldn’t believe she would be “singing another man’s song under my roof, in this house, that I own,” saying he “freaked the f*** out” over it:
“One morning, we were out the night before, and one morning I woke up and I was scrolling TikTok, and ‘Last night, we let the liquor talk,’ was stuck in my head.
And I walk up the stairs in the New York apartment, and I’m singing, I’m about to make breakfast or something like that… he freaked the f*** out. Like, freaked the f*** out. He could not believe, ‘You’re singing another man’s song under my roof, in this house, that I own.’ It was a fight for, I think, a week. It’s a Morgan Wallen song. I don’t know…”
Brianna’s co-host and Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy was a little confused about why Zach was bothered about that song in particular, wondering if there was specific beef between the two country stars he didn’t know about, but I think Josh summed it up perfectly, explaining:
“I think he really doesn’t like Morgan Wallen. I think he hates Morgan Wallen. I think he feels inferior to Morgan Wallen.”
For Morgan’s part, the only time he’s really publicly acknowledged Zach was in recently-released dashcam footage from his 2024 arrest for throwing a chair off the rooftop of Eric Church’s downtown Nashville bar, Chief’s.
While being driven to the station, Morgan asked the officer to name his favorite country artists, with the officer admitting that Morgan was one of them. He then named Zach Bryan, but Morgan didn’t really have much to say about him – though what he did have to say wasn’t anything negative:
“I don’t know Zach Bryan that well. I know who he is, but I don’t listen to him.”
And while Brianna claims there’s beef between the two, Zach has also shared posts on his Instagram featuring Morgan’s music:
