Miley Cyrus Breaks the Silence on Dolly Parton’s Health — and Confirms She’s Eager to Come Back Strong. ML

Miley Cyrus shared a reassuring update regarding the health of her godmother, country music icon Dolly Parton, during the premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash in Los Angeles on December 1, 2025.

Cyrus, 33, spoke to Entertainment Tonight, confirming that the 79-year-old legend is recovering well from recent health challenges and is anxious to get back to work.

The update comes after Parton faced a series of medical issues, including a kidney stone infection, which forced her to postpone several professional commitments earlier this year.

Cyrus emphasised Parton’s resilience and unwavering work ethic, stating, “She’s always going to keep the show going. The show must go on.

She’s just thrilled to return to her work”. This statement aligns with earlier reports from sources close to Parton, who told People magazine in November that the singer was “getting better every day” and had already begun decorating her home for the holidays.

Parton herself has been active in dispelling rumours, previously posting a video message with the caption “I ain’t dead yet!” to reassure fans after her sister, Freida Parton, asked for prayers on social media in October.

The health concerns began in September 2025, when Parton was unable to attend the opening of the Dolly Parton Experience at Dollywood due to a kidney stone that led to an infection.

Following the doctor’s orders to avoid travel, she also announced the postponement of her “Threads: My Songs in Symphony” shows in Las Vegas, initially scheduled for December 2025, moving them to September 2026.

At the time, she explained that she needed to undergo “a few procedures” to address her health issues but promised fans she was not retiring.

Despite these setbacks, Parton has remained in good spirits. She clarified that her condition, while requiring attention, was not life-threatening. “I’m not dying! I’m not ready to leave this world yet.

I don’t think God is finished with me, and I’m not done working,” she said in a direct message to her supporters. With Cyrus’s latest confirmation, fans can remain hopeful that the beloved “Jolene” singer will soon be back on stage, continuing her legendary career with the same energy and passion she has shown for decades.
