Lukas Nelson and Sierra Ferrell Light Up Farm Aid 2025 With an Electrifying “Find Yourself” Performance. ML

It was the kind of performance that stops you in your tracks and makes you forget there is a whole world outside the stage.
At the 40th anniversary of Farm Aid in Minneapolis, Lukas Nelson and Sierra Ferrell joined forces and delivered what might just be the most unforgettable moment of the night. Standing under the bright lights of Huntington Bank Stadium on September 20, 2025, the duo tore into Lukas’ soul-packed anthem “Find Yourself” and, in doing so, set the entire place on fire.
Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, and a long list of legends helped make this year’s Farm Aid one for the books. But when Lukas stepped up to the mic with his battered guitar and Sierra floated in beside him, something shifted. There was a jolt in the air, the kind that makes every hair on your arm stand up.

Originally written in 2014 and officially released in 2017 with Lukas’ former band, Promise of the Real, “Find Yourself” has always been a burner of a track. On the original cut, Lady Gaga lent her powerhouse vocals. But Sierra Ferrell brought a different kind of fire to the stage in Minneapolis. Equal parts grit and grace, she gave the song new life and wrapped her voice around the verses like smoke rising off a campfire.
Their chemistry was undeniable. Lukas, raw and passionate, sang like he had something to prove, while Sierra, who has been shaking up the Americana world with her unique blend of vintage charm and wild spirit, answered every line with the kind of force that makes you believe in the power of live music all over again.

This was not the first time these two have crossed musical paths, and it is hopefully not the last. Over the past year, Lukas and Sierra have carved out something of a musical partnership. Together, they have released a bluegrass version of Neil Young’s “Unknown Legend” that is so hauntingly beautiful it almost feels sacred. Then there was their cover of Adele’s “Someone Like You,” backed by The Travelin’ McCourys, which took the pop ballad straight to the hollers and gave it a rootsy edge it never knew it needed.
Sierra also appears on Lukas’ solo debut album American Romance, lending her vocals to “Friend in the End,” another standout track that shows just how naturally their styles blend. Between her raw emotional delivery and his sharp songwriting, they have tapped into something that feels both timeless and brand new.

So when they hit the stage together at Farm Aid, fans already knew it could be special. What they did not know is that it would become the performance everyone would be talking about long after the final encore. It was electric. It was explosive. And it was everything that live country music should be.
They sang “Find Yourself” not just with their voices but with every bit of soul they had. And by the time the last note faded, there was no doubt left in the minds of anyone watching. They just witnessed one of those rare musical moments that only come around once in a blue moon.
Now all that is left to do is hope they stop teasing and give the people what they clearly want. A full-length duet album is long overdue, because if Farm Aid 2025 proved anything, it is that when Lukas Nelson and Sierra Ferrell sing together, something magic happens.
