Jimmy Kimmel was sure to praise all those who had been there for him in the last week, but he was left unable to complete his speech due to the loud crowd.

Jimmy Kimmel got emotional while addressing the comments that got his show suspended
During Jimmy Kimmel’s first episode since returning to the air, many fans took notice of the host’s tearful happiness to return to the air.
On Tuesday, Sept. 23, Kimmel made his grand return to the small screen after his late-night talk show was briefly suspended. The talk show host was taken off the air following controversial remarks he made following the death of conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk, which he addressed during his opening monologue on his returning episode.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about what I have to say and do tonight,” he began after his suspension wrapped and he made a comeback. “The truth is I don’t think what I have to say is going to make much of a difference. If you like me, you like me, if you don’t, you don’t, I don’t have any illusions about changing anyones mind.

Kimmel added with teary eyes: “But I do want to make something clear because it’s important to me as a human. And that is that you do understand that it was never my intention to make light of the murder of the young man. I don’t think there is anything funny about it.”

Jimmy Kimmel returned to the small screen on September 23
Jimmy’s return was as emotional to viewers as it appeared to the TV personality, with one writing on X, formerly Twitter, “JIMMY KIMMEL!!! A true historic moment in television!!!!!”
A second added, “Wow… seeing Kimmel that emotional really shows how much this hit him [crying emoji].”
Six days of his suspension, ABC parent The Walt Disney Company confirmed that he would be returning once again, much to the excitement and relief of his show’s staff. In a statement, they said, “Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country.”
They continued, “We made this decision because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return to the show on Tuesday.”
This all stemmed from Kimmel’s opening monologue on his show that aired Sept. 15. During the episode, he stated that President Donald Trump’s supporters were “desperately trying to characterize” 22-year-old shooter Tyler Robinson, who killed Charlie as “anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”
Since the news of Kimmel’s suspension, fans, fellow talk show hosts, and celebrities have rallied in support of the talk show host, with many arguing that his suspension was censorship and a violation of free speech. Some famous faces that spoke out about Kimmel’s suspension include Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Mark Ruffalo, Seth Meyers, and Jon Stewart, among many others.
