Jimmy Fallon’s Adorable ‘Puppy Predictors’ Are Back for the Kentucky Derby and Fans Can’t Stop Melting.NH

It’s time to place your bets on the cutest thing you’ll ever see on network television.
Ahead of this weekend’s Kentucky Derby, The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon officiated a puppy version of the Run for the Roses, in the hopes of predicting the winner of the first leg of the Triple Crown.
And while The Fastest Two Minutes in Sports are loved by horse racing fans for the speed and beauty of three-year-old Thoroughbreds, Fallon’s race will certainly delight pet lovers for the simple reason that these puppies are too darn cute for words! Take a look:

“Guys, I want this to be a clean race, okay?” Fallon advised the pint-sized furballs. “I don’t want to see any wandering, peeing, or butt-sniffing, okay?”
After the trumpeter for The Roots, Fallon’s house band, played the “Assembly of the Buglers,” Fallon cried, “release the puppies!”
What ensues is the most ridiculously sweet few seconds of adorableness!

One viewer wrote, “This is such a fun twist on the Kentucky Derby. Excited to see the predictions play out.”
While it appeared the puppy racers mostly adhered to Fallon’s instructions, the little cutie representing the No. 3 horse Sandman won the race by a nose. Of course, the kibble awaiting the racers at the end of the track surely motivated them to cross the finish line in record time.

Another person wrote, “You can sleep a lot, eat a lot, and play a lot, and that doesn’t prevent you from being a champion like Sandman. Sandman, keep playing, because glory awaits you.”
Fallon’s unusual model has proven correct in the past as a puppy predicted American Pharoah to take the first leg of the Triple Crown back in 2015. So place your bets!
While the Sandman puppy won the race, we think it’s fair to say that in terms of cuteness, this was definitely a 10-way tie!
