The Philadelphia Eagles are so back after they beat the Minnesota Vikings, 28-22, on Sunday afternoon to break their two-game skid.

But that doesn’t mean they couldn’t use some extra help from an old familiar face.

Hours before the Eagles kicked off against the Vikings, reports surfaced that former longtime Philly defensive end Brandon Graham had been “mulling” a potential comeback.

“With Za’Darius Smith retiring, former Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham is now strongly considering coming out of retirement to sign with Philadelphia, league sources told ESPN,” Adam Schefter reported Sunday morning.

“Graham played 15 seasons in Philadelphia and became the longest-tenured Eagle in franchise history. The two-time Super Bowl champion now could be close to building upon those marks if he and the Eagles can finalize a contract this week, according to sources.”

Jalen Hurts’ response to a potential Brandon Graham return speaks for itself

Following the Eagles’ Week 7 win, quarterback Jalen Hurts was asked about Graham’s potential return to Philly.

While Hurts didn’t say anything, his big smile before getting up and leaving the media room said it all.

The Eagles re-signed Graham to a one-year extension during 2024 NFL free agency. Once his contract expired ahead of this season, Graham was expected to retire, and he did. But he could pull a Tom Brady and play for one more season.

Last fall, Graham recorded 3.5 sacks and 20 total tackles for the Eagles. He also racked up six tackles for loss and seven QB hits before a triceps injury in Week 12 ended his regular season. However, he did return for the Super Bowl, where he secured his second ring.

Aside from having some juice left in the tank to help the Eagles’ pass rush, Graham also brings an infectious personality and quality leadership to the locker room. And the Eagles could use it, as they continue to focus on their goal of sustaining success.
