It Started as a Rumor—Now John Foster and Kelly Clarkson’s Show Is Turning Heads Across the Industry. ML
Two of America’s most beloved music voices are teaming up — not for a concert, but for something even more powerful: a heartfelt new TV series that’s already being called “the show America needs right now.”
John Foster, the 19-year-old country star and American Idol runner-up, has joined forces with superstar Kelly Clarkson for a brand-new primetime show called “Truth & Heart.”
The concept? Real stories. Real people. Real music.
Announced during a surprise appearance on The Tonight Show, the duo shared their vision for a show that shines a light on the everyday heroes whose voices are too often unheard.
“We’re not here to be celebrities,” Foster said. “We’re here to be listeners.”
The show, which will premiere on NBC this spring, features live performances, emotional interviews, and a strong sense of community.
It will include guests like Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, and Carrie Underwood, but also everyday people — a school bus driver from Indiana, a veteran from Mississippi, a single mom from Nebraska — who have overcome major odds.
“This show is about heart,” Clarkson said. “Not headlines.”
In keeping with that mission, both hosts have pledged to donate portions of the show’s profits. Foster is funding music scholarships, and Clarkson is expanding her foundation to provide mental health services for artists and creatives in need.
Already, clips from the show’s teaser have gone viral online. One fan wrote: “They’re not just singing — they’re listening. And that’s what we need more of.”
“Truth & Heart” premieres this spring. And it’s bringing more than just music — it’s bringing meaning.
