The Nov. 4 NFL trade deadline is almost here, and what the Philadelphia Eagles end up doing with wide receiver A.J. Brown remains a hot topic.

However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is here to silence the noise once and for all.

Just a few days ago, Schefter shut down the trade talk amid Dianna Russini’s continued rumors of some anonymous owners and coaches believing that Brown could be traded.

“Teams still are eyeing Brown as the deadline approaches, according to sources, but the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles are not looking to move the three-time Pro Bowler,” Schefter wrote.

Schefter added that just because it wouldn’t happen, it doesn’t mean the Eagles won’t field any phone calls and at least listen to what teams have to offer. But it would take a blockbuster deal to maybe make things happen.

Schefter then doubled down on his take that Brown won’t be going anywhere.

“One move I’m not expecting; I’m not expecting A.J. Brown to be traded, despite all the conversation,” Schefter said on The Adam Schefter Podcast.

AJ Brown needs to stop posting cryptic messages

Brown’s targets haven’t been at the level he’s used to as the Eagles’ No. 1 wide receiver, so his frustration is understandable.

But it would benefit both him and the team if he stopped posting cryptic messages on social media. It only adds to the confusion when he airs his frustration through Instagram captions and X posts, then insists to reporters that he isn’t unhappy with the Eagles.

Even quarterback Jalen Hurts appears fed up with the posts.

“Yeah, in prep,” Hurts said when asked if he ever sees Brown’s social media posts and pointed to the Eagles’ public relations team. “I just keep my focus singularly on the collective.”

The good news is that Nov. 4 is just one week away, which means everyone will stop to trade talk when nothing happens and perhaps Brown will change his mood, too.
