Now Dolly has caused more concern after cancelling TWO public appearances in a matter of days.

On Monday she was missing from her induction into the IAAPA’s Hall of Fame for her Tennessee theme park, Dollywood.

Instead she sent a video message to explain her absence.

“Well hey there, it’s Dolly,” she began. “And I sure wish I could be with you in person today, but you probably heard that I’ve been dealing with a few health challenges this fall, and my doctors told me to take it easy for just a little while.”

Dolly then thanked her Dollywood business partners and also apologized for her absence.

“And I’m truly sorry I can’t be there, but I sure wanted to take the chance to say, thank you for this incredible honor. And to Jack and Peter, hey, thank you for being my partners and my friends for more than 40 years,” she said. “

This came shortly after she accepted an honorary Oscar remotely, and wasn’t there in person.

The country icon was honored with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences at the 2025 Governors Awards.

Dolly accepted the award in a video from her home in Nashville, where she called it a “great honor” and “a blessing of a lifetime.”

“I am working hard here!”

Dolly continued in the clip, “Anyway, I wanted to put everyone’s mind at ease. Those of you who seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate.

“I appreciate your prayers cause I am a person of faith. I can always use the prayers for anything and everything.”

“But I want you to know I am okay. I have some problems as I mentioned. Back when my husband Carl was very sick. That was for a long time.

“When he passed, I didn’t take care of myself. I let a lot of things go that I should’ve taken care of.

“When I got around to it, the doctor said, we need to take care of this, we need to take care of that. Nothing major but I did have to cancel some things to be closer to home and where I am having a few treatments here and there.

“I wanted you to know that I am not dying!”

Dolly is referring to her husband Carl Dean, who sadly died at the age of 82 in March 2025.

She continued, “I figured if you heard it from me, you would know that I was okay.”

Dolly ended the video, “I’m not ready to die yet! I don’t think God is through with me and I ain’t done working. I love you for caring and keep praying for me.”
