Did George Pickens Just Spark a Firestorm With a Cryptic Comment About Patrick Mahomes’ Wife?QQ
There’ll be plenty of NFL stars in the spotlight this Thanksgiving, including Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens.
Mahomes hasn’t exactly had an MVP season with the Chiefs, but he’s still completing 64.4% of his passes for 2,977 yards with 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Unsurprisingly, the Texas native is excited to play in front of his friends and family members at AT&T Stadium this Thanksgiving.
“Just getting to play back at home, and obviously have a lot of people in attendance that may not get to come up to Kansas City all the time and watch games,” Mahomes said. “It will be a really cool experience to play there [at AT&T Stadium], especially on Thanksgiving, and I’ll have a lot of family and friends in the stands.”
Pickens, on the other hand, has been sensational for the Cowboys. He already had 67 catches for 1,054 yards and eight touchdowns. There’s no question he’ll receive a lucrative contract this offseason.
Did Pickens throw shade at Mahomes?
On Wednesday afternoon, a social media user under the name “NFL Drop” shared what appeared to be an Instagram Story from Pickens. The post showed a photo of Brittany Mahomes along with the caption: “Tmrw we feast.”
Naturally, fans started wondering if there’s beef between Mahomes and Pickens. However, there’s no tension behind the scenes. That’s because this Instagram post isn’t real.
Despite what fans want to believe, Pickens didn’t post this photo of Mahomes’ wife on his Instagram Story.
We’d have to imagine Brittany Mahomes will be at AT&T Stadium to watch this Thursday’s game between the Chiefs and Cowboys.
Oddsmakers like the Chiefs to win on Thanksgiving and improve their record to 7-5. That would certainly help them make the playoffs.
