Kentucky Music Legend Turns the Page — New Reading Club Partnership Inspires Fans Beyond the Stage.LC

KENTUCKY (FOX 56) — Just over a month after putting on September’s Healing Appalachia music festival in Ashland, music star and Kentucky native Tyler Childers will be bringing handpicked books to libraries across the nation in a new partnership.

OverDrive posted on Facebook around 5 a.m. on Oct. 24, unveiling the Hickman Holler Reading Club, a list of reads hand-picked by Childers himself that reflect stories, voices, and themes close to his heart.

“We’ve partnered with Tyler Childers to launch the Hickman Holler Reading Club, bringing his handpicked book recommendations to libraries nationwide,” Overdrive announced.

According to club organizers, Childers will hand-pick book recommendations and highlight them each month on the reading club’s website. Each book will be available to borrow and read for free through your local library.
