Country Singer Calls Out a ‘Disrespectful’ Fan Mid-Show and Threatens to Stop Performing a Hit Song. ML
Kelsea Ballerini threatened to stop singing “Penthouse” if fans continue to be disrespectful.
The country music singer was performing in Australia on Friday when a heckler screamed, “Team Morgan,” a reference to Ballerini’s ex-husband Morgan Evans.
The song, along with many of the “Rolling Up the Welcome Mat” tracks, is about Evans.
“F–k off,” Ballerini replied as other concertgoers cheered and giggled, as seen in a TikTok video of the incident. “Team everyone’s happy.”
The performer also shared that fan’s video of the moment on her Instagram Stories, along with a warning, per EOnline.
“Respectfully, if anyone yells anything disrespectful to anyone during this song again, it will no longer be on the set list,” she posted.
“Please let this be a song that matters to people and not a place to insert yourself into a world that doesn’t exist and was never yours to begin with. Team everyone’s happy or bust. Please.”
