Country legend George Strait, 73, is turning his “one night only” engagement into a two night event.

Earlier this month, the “Amarillo by Morning” singer announced that he would be performing live in Lubbock, Texas for the first time in more than a decade. When he shared the news, it was intended to be a single concert in April 2026 played at AT&T Stadium, but fans were so excited to see him performing in his home state that on November 17, he announced that he has added a second night.

In addition to his April 25 performance (with fellow Texas natives Miranda Lambert and Hudson Westbrook), Strait will also be on stage the night before thanks to the “overwhelming demand” he saw for that initial date.

Now, fans in Texas can also catch Strait performing on April 24 with Zach Top and Dylan Gossett, and judging by the comments on the announcement that the singer shared on Instagram, it looks like fans are excited to fill the stadium that night, too.

“Come on King George let’s Rock the House!!” one fan wrote in a comment on the post, while another added, “Seeing Zach Top and George Strait would make for an AWESOME birthday present!!”

With different acts joining Strait each night, some fans admitted they were having a hard time deciding which of the two shows to buy tickets for (especially with all the excitement they have about seeing Top). But either way, it looks like it’s going to be a great show both nights with a lineup like this.

Fans who want to see Strait perform in Lubbock will have to act fast. Presale for both concerts begins today, November 17, at 10 a.m. CST, and you can sign up for that sale on Strait’s website. The general public sale for these events begins Friday, November 21 at 10 a.m. CST.
