Brandon Graham just unretired to rescue the Eagles’ defense — and Jalen Hurts’ reaction melted every fan’s heart.QQ

Jalen Hurts is reunited with BG and it feels really, really good.

Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham officially came out of retirement this week to run it back for a 16th season, and quarterback Jalen Hurts couldn’t be happier.
“It’s awesome. It’s awesome,” Hurts said. Obviously, everything he’s been able to do over his career, the impact he’s had on his organization, the success he’s had, excited to see him back out there on the field, brings great energy, enthusiasm, and has that passion for the game. It never left, and that’s why he’s here.”

Graham is already making himself right at home again and talking smack at practice, according to Hurts and several other teammates.
“Talking enough, talking enough, out there, making plays,” Hurts said. “And you know, you feel it. And so obviously, I know he’s taking it one day at a time, and he’s gonna gonna be ready when his number is called.”
Jordan Mailata shared a few more details of exactly what Graham was saying during warmups.
“In the stretch he was already talking smack,” left tackle Jordan Mailata said. “And he was the only one talking. It was like quiet, all you heard was music and you just hear BG: ‘Yeah, I can hear you breathing heavy already! Yeah, fat boy! HAHAH.’”
Brandon Graham is here to save the Eagles’ defense
Graham is here to save the Eagles’ defense after the team lost Za’Darius Smith to a surprise retirement announcement last week.
“I knew I wasn’t all the way done, honestly,” Graham said. “… When Za’Darius retired, it just felt like it was the perfect thing to do. Cause obviously he was in my locker and to get it back and just to [say], ‘Let’s go do this thing again.’ That’s how I feel, it’s like we got an opportunity again and [I] just wanna be able to just go to war with my brothers every week.”
At 37 years old, Graham doesn’t have high expectations for himself, but he also isn’t selling himself short and feels like he has plenty of juice left.
The Eagles plan to gradually ramp him back up to full speed, though he’s stayed active and training ever since winning his second Super Bowl ring.
