Foster spoke with WBRZ in Baton Rouge ahead of Sunday night’s finale and he talked about having a place in the music industry – “My hometown visit was proof of the fact that even if I were to be eliminated at number 3, I would forever have a place in the industry. What’s Next for Louisiana Native John Foster?

At the moment, the world is full of possibilities for John Foster. American Idol typically does a live tour with some of the more prominent members of the show. According to sources online, the pay day for that tour can be upwards of $150,000 – which ain’t too shabby.

On top of that, there’s been rumors flying around that several record labels have been ready to pounce on signing Foster to a recording contract. Which in some ways could be more beneficial for Foster than actually winning the Idol recording contract. Because now he can negotiate his own terms on a deal. Obviously, there’s not a guaranteed payday like if he would won, but he could still end up in a really good place.

Regardless of what happens next, it’s safe to say the future is bright for Louisiana’s own John Foster.
