Ben Stiller Says ‘Focker-In-Law’ Pushes the Family Chaos Even Further — and Ariana Grande Steals the Show.NH
Ben Stiller not only got the entire, star-studded cast of Meet The Parents to reprise their roles for the new sequel Focker-in-Law, he also got international pop star Ariana Grande to join the cast.
Stiller praised Grande during his recent appearance on The View where he also shared what fans should expect from the new film, which is now coming over 15 years after the last installment, Little Fockers.
“I can’t really say too much about it yet,” Stiller admitted. “But Ariana’s in it. She’s amazing, what a brilliant comedic actress, just an amazing person.”
He then revealed the new film will show his character, Greg Focker, stepping into the shoes of Robert De Niro‘s character, Jack Byrnes.
“I’m the age that Robert De Niro was when we did the first movie,” Stiller explained. “So Greg Focker is kind of going through that same experience of having his kids [and] meet someone they like.”
The View‘s Sara Haines then asked Stiller if he is going to “milk anything” in the new film, referencing the hilarious moment where Stiller tells a stone-faced De Niro, “You can milk anything with nipples.”
De Niro will be reprising his role for the film, as will Teri Polo, Blythe Danner and Owen Wilson.
Grande is the newest addition to the cast, along with Superman actor Skyler Gisondo and Booksmart star Beanie Feldstein. Grande joined the cast hot off the heels of her Oscar-nominated performance in Wicked and the upcoming Wicked: For Good.
Stiller has praised the actress before, telling E! News, “What’s surprising, and maybe not really surprising, is how amazingly she blended in. She’s such a pro, she’s so funny, she’s so talented, obviously as a singer, but also she was so funny and amazing in Wicked. What she’s doing in this movie is very unique, it’s a very unique character, and we’re having a great time and just like to work with her.”
It remains to be seen if Barbra Streisand and Dustin Hoffman will also reprise their roles as Greg’s parents, Bernie and Roz Focker.
Focker-in-Law is slated to premiere in theaters Nov. 25, 2026.
