Fans are buzzing as the Eagles prepare a critical boost to their struggling secondary.QQ

The Eagles could get Jakorian Bennett back in time for Sunday’s show.

The Philadelphia Eagles are set to get a major boost to their secondary as soon as this weekend against the New York Giants.
The team opened cornerback Jakorian Bennett’s 21-day practice window at the start of Week 8, and he has participated at some capacity every day.
This is great news, considering the Eagles are still without a reliable CB2 and realized just how weak their cornerback depth was when CB1 Quinyon Mitchell was injured.

Neither backup Kelee Ringo nor Adoree Jackson has been consistent, and there is no telling if Bennett is solid either, but he is worth a shot at the starting job — especially if Vic Fangio wants to see more from him.
“I agree with him,” Bennett told reporters on Thursday. “I really haven’t been able to show everything I can do. It’s time for me to go out there and put on for a whole game and show him, show the players, the rest of the coaches, everybody, who I am. Show them that they didn’t bring me here for no reason.”
Bennett feels ready, now the Eagles need to make the right call
Bennett landed on the Injured Reserve list with a pectoral injury back in Week 3. He’s been watching his team’s ups and downs from the sidelines since then, and it hasn’t been much fun.
“That was probably the toughest part,” Bennett said. “I got traded for a reason, to help the team win, to be a part of that. For me to just watch, that was really tough. You watch the game, you kind of visualize yourself making plays and doing whatever to help the team win. I’m competitive, I’m a team player and I’m just trying to go out there and help the guys.”
We’ll see what the Eagles do for Sunday’s matchup. With Jackson in concussion protocol and Ringo failing every chance to prove himself, it only makes sense for Bennett to get the start alongside Mitchell — as long as he feels confident and healthy.
“Feels good to be healthy, feels good to be back on the field and just play ball,” Bennett said. “Tired of sitting around and healing up. But everything happens for a reason. Just trying to get better every day.”
