Ana Navarro thought it was just small talk — until the A-lister turned up the charm and her response went viral.NH
The View hosts are introduced to a slew of celebrities each week – some of which they truly admire and others they might not get along with.
But for one host in particular, she claimed to have met her dream celebrity guest, and his presence left her stunned and in a ‘trance.’
Speaking exclusively with Daily Mail, Ana Navarro revealed that she had her ‘dream celebrity’ on The View on Friday’s episode of the talk show.
The October 17 episode of The View welcomed no other than… Richard Gere.
‘I didn’t realize how much I had a crush on him until he got there and he gave me a neck rub,’ Ana, 53, gushed.
‘He is 76 years old and he is so f**king hot.’

Raving about her crush to rapper Ja Rule, who was seated next to her as a judge at New York City Wine & Food Festival’s Burger Bash event, she went on to praise his roles as a high-end male prostitute in American Gigolo and a wealthy businessman in Pretty Woman.
When asked if Ana – who is married to politician Al Cardenas – got the chance to tell him about her crush, she said, ‘I don’t think I had to tell him. I was in a trance.
‘He must have known because he walked out and he gave me a neck rub, and I literally almost fainted.’
She then revealed her hilarious reaction to his flirty move: ‘I literally put my arms up and said “Richard take me right now.”‘
Ana also shared why he might’ve given her a neck rub as he walked on stage to greet her and the other hosts – Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin.
‘He likes Latina women. He’s married to a Spaniard,’ the Nicaragua native continued, referring to Richard’s wife Alejandra Silva, whom he married in 2018.
‘In fact, [The View hosts] talk about him because his Spanish is really good.
‘We started talking in Spanish. I think Richard is so ready for the Bad Bunny Super Bowl Halftime… Richard can keep up with Benito.’

While appearing on Friday’s episode of The View, the award-winning actor himself noted that he likes Spanish women so much that ‘I marry them.’
He even joked, ‘I’m a Virgo and I’m not talking about my exes,’ seemingly referring to his ex-wives Carey Lowell, whom he was married to from 2002 until 2016, and Cindy Crawford, whom he was married to from 1991 until 1995.
Apart from talking about his upcoming Dalai Lama documentary, he spoke about meeting his wife Alejandra, which he admitted was a ‘long story’.
‘Tell me the story because I’m riveted,’ Ana told him, egging him on. ‘Somebody please uncork the wine.’
‘The first time I was in Italy was to visit Franco Zeffirelli, who is an Italian Opera director and filmmaker and my agent at the time used to work with him… He had this villa in Positano, which is one of the most beautiful places in the world,’ he began sharing his story.
‘Years later, I’ve gone through divorces and craziness, but I’m not talking about it. So I’m there and I want to go visit his place, which is now a hotel.’
He continued, ‘Long story short, I met the owner of this hotel. It happened to be this extraordinary woman and I just knew immediately.

‘She didn’t know but I knew. I think she thought I was George Clooney or something. It was all kind of interchangeable to her… It was really this blank slate because she didn’t know who I was. So it was really two adults meeting each other.
‘It was terrific. Even now, she’s only seen a couple of my films.’
Just a day prior to his appearance on The View, he and Alejandra attended the screening of his documentary, Wisdom of Happiness, together in the city.
As they posed for photos on the red carpet, the couple – who share sons Alexander, six, and James, five – shared a kiss as they packed on the PDA in a rare outing.
