The 2025 season has been a bit of an oddity for Saquon Barkley. After an unbelievable campaign last season, expectations were understandable sky high this year for the Philadelphia Eagles superstar running back. While it doesn’t seem like he’s necessarily lost a step or is making massive blunders, his productivity isn’t nearly the same.
Offensive line issues and play calling have both played a large hand in the difference of efficiency for Barkley, but there is still hope that he can rejuvenate the Eagles offense as they head into the coldest months of the season. Week 15 against the Las Vegas Raiders could be the perfect opportunity from Mother Nature for the stud RB.
The Eagles Just Got UNEXPECTED Hilarious News Ahead Of A Must-Win Game…
Current weather forecast means Eagles rushing attack may have tons of success
As of now, the current weather forecast for Eagles/Raiders is a chilly one. The temperature isn’t projected to reach over 30 degrees, and a “real feel” in the teens points to some notable wind as well. Snow is also forecasted, with 1-3 inches on the table right now.
These numbers can fluctuate, but as of now, it is hard to see either passing attack finding a ton of success.
The current weather forecast for the Eagles vs Raiders on Sunday is calling for temps in the 20s with a real feel in the teens and wind gusts up to 25mph.
Along with 1-3” of snow ❄️
We could see a defensive onslaught between Philly and Vegas, but this could also be a game where we see the running backs take over. Ashton Jeanty is an exciting rookie RB for the Raiders, while Barkley has some fond memories of dominating in the snow while wearing green as well.
It’s tough to imagine that the Eagles won’t try their absolute best to feed the football to Barkley early and often to try to break off some massive gains in the frigid environment.
Recently, the running game for Philly has struggled to find explosives consistently. In fact, last week’s fake tush push touchdown run for Barkley was one of the very few big plays on the ground for the offense during the current losing streak. It’s been a ton of 2-3 yard gains on early downs, followed by vanilla passing concepts on third down. That’s played into the frustration with Oc Kevin Patullo this season, and the Eagles need to kick that narrative before they blow their chances to make the postseason.
This weekend against the Raiders is a fantastic spot for Barkley to make Eagles fans and fantasy football managers alike ecstatic. We’ll see what the offensive game plan is for Philly in the freezing cold temps.
