Idaho in the national spotlight? It’s becoming more and more common these days.

When it comes to politics? Well, these days Idaho finds itself making headlines just as often.
Take a look at what Stephen Colbert was up to earlier this week during his monologue on ‘The Late Show’ and how he tied Idaho into it!

Do you watch Colbert? He’s a very funny guy!
Known as a ‘Red State’, Idaho hasn’t voted for a Democrat when it comes to the presidential election in decades.
It seems that the likes of Bernie Sanders along with national media figure enjoy pointing out that despite how the maps are painted during election season, there are indeed folks that are politically active and diverse in Idaho–‘land of red’.
In his monologue, Colbert spoke about how towns across America–both big and small, held ‘No Kings’ rallies–intended to protest Donald Trump and their perception that he is trying to circumnavigate democracy and ‘play King’.
No matter your political stance on the topic at hand–it was Colbert’s Idaho joks that rang all too familiar for a lot of us.
‘Idaho? No, U-Daho’ Colbert zinged as his audience in studio laughed.
