The Internet Is Melting Down Over Taylor Swift’s Spicy New Song About Travis Kelce—Here’s Why

It’s been a long time coming, but Taylor Swift’s raunchiest song ever is here.

On Friday, Oct. 3, Swift, 35, released The Life of a Showgirl. Among the tracks that reference her fiancé Travis Kelce, throughout the album, “Wood” is perhaps the most risqué, packed with innuendo, BDE and double entendres.

The lyrics seem to bring Kelce’s manhood centerstage, and already have fans clutching their pearls over what Swift is referring to.

She starts singing about bad luck and superstitions, including knocking on wood and black cats that bring bad luck. However, things take a hard turn in the post-chorus.

“Forgive me, it sounds cocky / He ah-matized me and opened my еyes,” she croons, seemingly censoring herself before being frank. “Redwood tree, it ain’t hard to see / His love was thе key that opened my thighs.”

In the next verse, Swift muses about a wedding tradition that could lead to an engagement ring. Or, perhaps, something else that’s a firm promise. “Girls, I don’t need to catch the bouquet / To know a hard rock is on the way.”

A more direct reference to Kelce, who turns 36 on Oct. 5, is mentioned in the next prechorus where she name-drops his podcast New Heights that he cohosts with brother Jason Kelce.

“And baby, I’ll admit, I’ve been a little superstitious / The curse on me was broken by your magic wand / Seems to be that you and me, we make our own luck,” she sings, likely winking at his anatomy.

Swift also leans into the BDE of her football star fiancé: “New Heights (New Heights) of manhood (Manhood) / I ain’t gotta knock on wood.”
