Chiefs fans witnessed Rashee Rice pick up exactly where he left off, electrifying the offense in his first game back.QQ

It was everything we could hope for.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ 31-0 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders featured everything Chiefs fans could have hoped for.
Kansas City’s offense was unstoppable, scoring on its first five possessions. It racked up 152 yards rushing among six ball carries, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed passes to nine different receivers on the day.
Among those who caught a pass was Rashee Rice, who recorded seven receptions for 42 yards and two touchdowns. It was his first regular season game since Week 4 of 2024 when he sustained a knee injury. While speaking to the media afterwards, Rice discussed the emotions he felt during his return.

Rashee Rice adds another dimension to an already hot Chiefs offense
“Just a lot of passion,” Rice said. “I had to get the first one (touchdown) out the way. Probably won’t be punting the ball anymore, but I had to bring the juice. Had to bring the spark to the offense. First play, first touchdown of the game, however we need to get our energy going. That’s how we had to do it. It’s all passion. We don’t mind having fun out there, representing, playing together as a unit.”
Mahomes was looking for Rice early and often, giving him a total of 10 targets. You wouldn’t be able to tell Rice missed over a year of action if you didn’t know, as he displayed good hands, quickness, and physicality. Part of that can be contributed to him being able to participate in training camp and preseason.
During the six-game suspension he served at the beginning of the season, Rice stayed in shape by working out in the Florida heat. All of his hard work culminated in a big performance during his first game back against the Raiders. As for what the future holds, Rice believes Sunday was just the tip of the iceberg.
“I think it’s a glimpse of what’s possible and what’s to come,” Rice said. “This is our first game being able to play with each other. Coach (Andy Reid) said I had a minimum amount of plays, so maybe more plays, more touchdowns, not even just from me, but from everybody else.”
