Rising Alarm Around Morgan Wallen After Bat-Throwing Mishap Injures José Bautista’s Wife — Loved Ones Said to Be Preparing Intervention
A brief moment that was likely meant to be playful has become the latest flashpoint in Morgan Wallen’s increasingly turbulent public life. The country singer’s attempt to recreate former MLB star José Bautista’s iconic bat flip resulted in an errant throw that struck Bautista’s wife, Neisha, as she recorded the scene — a mishap captured and shared on social media.
The short clip, posted to Neisha Bautista’s Instagram and picked up by outlets including RadarOnline, shows the startled woman uttering a sharp cry and dropping her phone after being hit. A voice in the background asks, “S—. You okay?” and Neisha replies that she is fine. While Wallen allegedly expressed that the hit was unintentional, insiders say the incident is emblematic of a pattern of risky behavior that has left friends and colleagues worried.

“He needs to get his act together before it’s too late,” one industry insider told RadarOnline. The insider described “mounting public embarrassments” that are “driving away fans and dismantling his career,” and said that family and close friends are “so concerned they’re planning an intervention before it’s game over.”
This episode arrives on the heels of several high-profile controversies in Wallen’s recent past. In April 2024, authorities say Wallen threw a chair from the sixth-floor rooftop of Eric Church’s downtown Nashville bar, allegedly nearly striking two police officers on the street below. He faced felony reckless endangerment and misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges, ultimately pleading guilty to reckless endangerment in a plea agreement that included a short stay at a DUI education center and two years’ probation.
Other incidents have also marred his public image: in 2021 he was filmed using a racial slur at a party, which led to radio blacklisting and label suspensions; in 2020 he was arrested for public intoxication following an ejection from Kid Rock’s Nashville bar (those charges were later dropped).
“His careless behavior keeps happening again and again and his pals fear he’s going to destroy his career,” the source continued, suggesting that even those closest to Wallen feel an intervention is overdue. The insider added bluntly, “He’s had so many chances, and now many feel what he needs is a good walloping.”

As Wallen navigates the fallout from the bat-throwing incident and the accumulated controversies that preceded it, questions remain about whether an intervention will occur and whether it can halt the slide that insiders say threatens his professional standing.
