Zach Bryan set a record over the weekend to be the first to play Michigan Stadium, and, in the process, performed the biggest ticketed U.S. show in history, eclipsing George Strait’s mark.

Variety reported the record, per the show’s promoter, per AEG Presents.

Bryan played in front of 112,408 fans at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. Strait’s 2024 Kyle Field performance at Texas A&M drew 110,905 fans, per Variety.

“Hey everyone! Get ready with us, we’re about to play the biggest ticketed show in American history,” Bryan said in a video posted on Instagram.

With special guest John Mayer and support from Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen and Joshua Slone, per the report, the performance also set a merchandise sales record in the amount of $5 million.

Mayer called it an “honor,” and Bryan responded with a heartfelt, “Couldn’t have done it without you.”

The performance marked the final stop on Bryan’s ‘Quittin’ Time Tour.’
