Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Shut Down Breakup Rumors With a New Photo That Says It All.LC

Gwen Stefani is finally debunking rumors that she and husband Blake Shelton are on the rocks! The No Doubt rocker shared a post-Thanksgiving selfie on her Instagram Story on Friday, Nov. 28, that showed her husband planting a kiss on her cheek as she smiled.

Though the photo came without a caption, it was worth a thousand words amid speculation that they were breaking up. Shelton shows up less often on her social media than he once did — the last time she posted him on her feed was on July 3 for their fourth wedding anniversary — and they haven’t walked a red carpet together since The Grand Ole Opry’s OPRY 100 celebration in March.
Fans were relieved to see they’re still going strong. “Blake and Gwen!!!!!!!!!!” said one fan on X after spotting them together. Another added, “Dear God, please continue to protect The SHELTONS and protect their love, marriage, and happiness always. AMEN. AMEN. AMEN!”

Stefani also spoke highly of Shelton during a visit with Audacy Music in late November 2025 while discussing how they decorate their home for the holidays and his career accomplishments. “I love saying this cuz I love bragging for him,” she said. “He was doing a party for his 30th number one radio hit. Do you know anyone that has that many? I don’t. Except for him.”
Shelton has been a little more active with sharing glimpses into their personal life on social media. Most recently, he posted a photo for Stefani’s birthday in early October where he’s kissing his wife. “Y’all help me wish @gwenstefani a happy birthday!!!!!! I love you pretty girl!!!!!” he wrote in the caption.
Concern for their marriage grew when the couple didn’t show up to the CMA Awards on Nov. 19 despite Shelton releasing his first new album in 4 years in 2025 and being nominated in the Musical Event of the Year category for his feature on Post Malone’s hit “Pour Me a Drink.”

It didn’t help that he switched up his usual love song routine and released “Hangin’ On” in 2025, which is about a couple struggling with hurting each other. “[The song is] really no reflection of where Gwen and I are in our relationship,” Shelton told Access Hollywood at the time, adding, “I hope.” In recent months, various tabloids have reported that their marriage was in trouble.
The couple met on the set of The Voice in 2014, while Shelton was still married to fellow country singer Miranda Lambert. They got divorced in July 2015 after four years of marriage, the same year Stefani left her husband of 13 years, Gavin Rossdale, following a cheating scandal between him and their nanny. Shelton and Stefani got together publicly in November of that year, and they tied the knot on their Oklahoma farm in 2021.
