There’s about to be some “Good Vibrations” in Washington, D.C. this Christmas.
The Beach Boys are set to perform at the 2025 National Christmas Tree Lighting at the White House next month, joining a star-studded lineup of artists who will be helping Washington, D.C. get ready for the holiday season.
Beach Boys founding member Mike Love announced the exciting news on Wednesday, Nov. 19, spreading some Christmas cheer to his social media followers with an Instagram post promoting the upcoming event.

“Joyfully, I am honored to announce that @thebeachboys will be performing at the 2025 National Christmas Tree Lighting in Washington, D.C.,” Love, 84, wrote in the post, which featured a photo of last year’s festive holiday display at the White House.
The special holiday event, the 103rd National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, will take place on the Ellipse at the White House and President’s Park on Thursday, Dec. 4.

The Beach Boys previously performed at the same ceremony in 2017, during Donald Trump‘s first term in office.
In addition to the “Little Saint Nick” crooners, this year’s tree lighting ceremony will feature musical performances by a number of other notable artists, including Alana Springsteen, Brett Young, Gabby Barrett, Jillian Cardarelli, Jon Pardi, Matthew West and Warren Zeiders. Barrett and West will also serve as hosts for the evening, according to the official event website.

The evening’s performances will be led by Music Director Tariqh Akoni and backed by the U.S. Navy’s premier jazz ensemble, the Commodores.
Fans will be able to watch the 103rd National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Great American Family at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Friday, Dec. 5. It will also be available to stream on Great American Pure Flix through Jan. 31, 2026.
