Harvard Scientist Claims NASA Is Concealing Startling Evidence About a Manhattan-Sized Comet Heading Our Way.NH

He thought they were being real NAS-holes.
Scientist Avi Loeb has accused NASA of withholding critical information about 3I/ATLAS — the Manhattan-sized interstellar comet which he’s postulated could have extraterrestrial origins. The Harvard astrophysicist made these allegations during a recent appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
Loeb was discussing how the intergalactic object seemed to defy comet behavior, describing how the jet-like emission pointed toward the sun and not away, like it is standard, and that he didn’t “see any cometary tail here.”

That’s when he dropped the so-called NASA bombshell. “Amazingly, the best image was obtained on Oct. 2, 2025, when 3I/ATLAS came within 30 million kilometers of Mars,” the scientist said.
He declared that said image was snapped by NASA’s HiRISE camera aboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, but that the image “was never released.”
“I wrote to the principal investigator ofHiRISE, asking, ‘Can I get the data? I’m a scientist,’” claimed Loeb, who said that he received “no response.”
He claimed that he was asked if this was evidence that NASA hides some sensational data, to which he responded, “It’s much more likely not to be related to extraterrestrial intelligence, but to terrestrial stupidity.”
As of yet, NASA has not confirmed any such photograph or withholding of said image.
The Post has reached out to NASA for comment.

Elsewhere during the Rogan interview, Loeb suggested that the photo might’ve provided counterevidence to the space agency’s claim that atypical jet changed into a typical comet tail last month.
The outer space expert compared the scenario to an animal that visits your yard and having one’s family claim that it’s a “street cat,” even though it has a tail growing out of its forehead.

Loeb has previously speculated that 3I/ATLAS, which is the third observed interstellar object to enter our solar system ever, could be extraterrestrial in origin for several reasons.
Along with its unusual tail orientation, Loeb noted that it was spouting a plume of four grams of nickel per second with no evidence of iron, which is a phenomenon unheard of in comets.
He also voiced concern over ATLAS’s nongravitational acceleration and anomalous trajectory that will bring it suspiciously close to Jupiter, Venus and Mars, potentially indicating that it was a hostile alien probe that was sent to conduct reconnaissance on Earth.
NASA’s official position is that 3I/ATLAS does not pose a threat to Earth and could even provide invaluable intel that would help us protect the planet in the future.
From Nov. 27, 2025, through Jan. 27, 2026, the NASA-backed International Asteroid Warning Network will be conducting a “comet campaign” to refine methods for pinpointing its location.
The so-called worldwide coalition of space experts will also “hold a workshop on techniques to correctly measure comet astrometry — a transformation without a change to a figure’s shape or size, such as rotation or reflection.
In turn, data will reportedly allow us to build the blueprint for how we monitor other potentially hazardous asteroids and comets.
