Stephen Colbert Doesn’t Hold Back—His “Quick Reminder” About Trump’s Health Hits Harder Than Expected.NH

Late Show” host Stephen Colbert trolled President Donald Trump over the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test he had during a hastily announced visit to Walter Reed Medical Center earlier this month.

“Quick reminder,” Colbert said. “People don’t just get an MRI. It’s usually something you only get when the doctors think something’s wrong with you.”

Trump claimed his MRI was “perfect,” but the White House hasn’t said why the test was ordered in the first place.

“That’s not comforting,” Colbert said. “What were they looking for? That’s like your Airbnb host saying, ‘Oh, you’ll sleep great in these bedrooms. We had the snake guy come in three times last week, and he never found a snake, so there must not be one. Good night. Sleep tight. Don’t let the bed snake bite.’”

Trump also said he took a cognitive test, which, based on his description, was likely the Montreal Cognitive Assessment. That’s the infamous “person, woman, man, camera, TV” test he took in 2020 and frequently brags about passing.

It’s supposed to be easy, as it was created not to measure intelligence but to check for early signs of cognitive decline and dementia.

Trump, however, falsely claimed it was an “aptitude” test, then attacked two Democratic lawmakers as “low IQ” and challenged them to take the test.

“As a reminder, the cognitive test Trump took is not designed as a measure of intelligence or IQ,” Colbert pointed out. “And not knowing the difference between those two things is one of the reasons they make you take a cognitive test.”
