Under the Lights of the Globe Iron, Lukas Nelson Turned Every Lyric Into a Living, Breathing Moment. ML

Lukas Nelson rolled into the Globe Iron last night and left no doubt that country royalty runs deep—but individuality runs deeper. Backed by his powerhouse band, the singer-songwriter delivered a lively 90-minute set that fused classic outlaw grit with modern Americana cool.
Kicking off his American Romance tour, Nelson brought the new record to life onstage, mixing fresh material with crowd favorites from his catalog. His voice—warm, raspy, and unmistakably Nelson—echoed shades of his father Willie, but Lukas’s phrasing and punchy guitar work gave every tune its own fire.

The twenty-one-song performance ended with a one-two punch of “Ain’t Done” and “Set Me Down on a Cloud,” both greeted with roaring applause. Between songs, Nelson spoke candidly about life on the road, creative freedom, and finding joy in the craft of songwriting.

Georgia’s own The Band Loula opened the show with a 30-minute burst of tight harmonies and acoustic energy, earning early cheers from the packed crowd.

By the end of the night, it was clear Lukas Nelson doesn’t need to borrow legacy—he’s busy building one of his own.
