When Lukas Nelson Stepped On Stage, It Wasn’t Just a Concert—It Was a Masterclass in Storytelling Through Song. ML

Lukas Nelson, son of Country legend Willie Nelson, brought his band to the Globe Iron last night for a 90-minute set of fresh tunes.  Nelson, sporting his own set of twangy pipes, sounds a little like his famous dad but has set himself apart due to songwriting skills that have won him numerous awards, including a Grammy in 2019.

Touring in support of the May release of his new album, American Romance, the outfit offered up a twenty-one-song set, ending with “Ain’t Done” and “Set Me Down on a Cloud.”

Georgia-based duo The Band Loula opened for Nelson with a half-hour set of originals and covers.
