Three Chiefs miss practice, two Commanders come roaring back — the balance of Sunday’s battle just shifted.QQ

hiefs are in full preparations for Washington.

The Kansas City Chiefs will look to remain hot as they host the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football in Week 8.
Kansas City unfortunately lost rookie defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott for the season after he sustained a torn ACL against the Las Vegas Raiders last week. The Chiefs are otherwise pretty healthy.
The same cannot be said for the Commanders. They lost star defensive end Dorance Armstrong to a season-ending knee injury, and have already ruled out starting quarterback Jayden Daniels, who is nursing a hamstring injury. Let’s take a look at the full injury reports for each team.

Observations:
- The Commanders got some good news on Thursday, as McLaurin and Samuel practiced in full after both missed last week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. They are on track to play against Kansas City on Monday night.
- Washington is likely being cautious with its starting right guard Cosmi, who made his season debut last week after sustaining a serious knee injury during last year’s postseason run.

KEY: DNP = Did not participate | LP = Limited participation | FP = Full participation | NIR = Not injury related
Observations:
- Simmons remains away from the team as he deals with a personal situation. Coach Andy Reid gave us a tiny bit of information regarding the matter, stating that it is a family issue for Simmons, and he has been in communication with the Chiefs’ brass. Jaylon Moore, who has been great during Simmons’ absence, will continue to start at LT.
- Hunt did not practice on Wednesday as he deals with a bone bruise in his knee, but Reid is optimistic that Hunt will play on Monday night
- Smith exited last week’s game against the Raiders with a back injury and did not return. Reid said that Smith is getting better, but are being cautious with him at the moment.
- Watson was a limited participant on Thursday with a back injury. If he’s able to log a full practice either on Friday or Saturday, he should be good to play on Monday night.
