The Dierks High School Outlaws were recently honored as the winners of T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights contest, earning a $1 million football field upgrade set to be unveiled next fall. The celebration brought the community together for a night of excitement and hometown pride, with a packed house cheering on the Outlaws.
Four-time Super Bowl champ and Friday Night 5G Lights ambassador Rob Gronkowski joined the festivities alongside country artist Bailey Zimmerman, who delivered a performance of the national anthem and several of his hit songs. T-Mobile CEO Srini Gopalan congratulated the Dierks community for their incredible teamwork and spirit before joining Gronkowski to present a check to head football coach Paul Ernest.
Dierks won the contest through a nationwide vote. In addition to the upgraded field, Dierks High School will also receive new gym equipment from Gronk Fitness. The event marked a proud moment for the school and town, celebrating the power of community and connection.
