The country legend just released the third installment in her Billy the Kid children’s book series, Billy the Kid Dances His Heart Out, on December 2. The new story follows Billy, the lovable French bulldog who’s already chased his musical dreams, moved to Nashville and toured the country. But there’s still one thing he hasn’t done: dance in front of an audience. That all changes when Billy and his band are invited to open for Dolly Parton’s “Doggy Dance Pawty,” setting off a sweet and funny journey about courage, friendship and trying new things.

Parton announced the release in an Instagram video, where she said, “Well, hey there! My god-dog Billy is back in an all-new picture book, Billy the Kid Dances His Heart Out. Billy’s learning to dance and maybe learning a little bit about love too.”
