The Cheyenne Frontier Days concert lineup was announced Tuesday evening, and the main headliner is a CFD fan favorite.
Country music star Blake Shelton will headline his sixth Cheyenne Frontier Days on July 23, 2026.
The Oklahoma native was at the top of country music charts earlier this year with his song, “Texas,” which was co-written by Gillette, Wyoming, songwriter Josh Dorr.
The song is the lead single from his 13th studio album, “For Recreational Use Only.” It was his 30th No. 1 single.
Shelton had stepped away from the limelight for the last four years, quitting NBC’s “The Voice” after 23 seasons. He said at the time he was going to focus on fishing and farming.
Shelton also performed at Cheyenne Frontier Days in 2021, 2015, 2012, 2008, and 2003.
His latest album came out of quieter days, focusing on who he wanted to be and why. The track includes the song “Hangin’ On,” which is a collaboration with his rock star wife, Gwen Stefani.
No opener is listed for Shelton’s performance as of yet, so stay tuned.

Start Off Wild
Things could get wild for the opening night of the 130th Cheyenne Frontier Days with Treaty Oak Revival set to headline the opening night’s concert at Cheyenne Frontier Days on July 17.
The Texas bar band rocketed to fame in just five years as an independent label.
It’s also become a little infamous for the beer hurling that frequently happens at the band’s high-energy performances, along with the rowdy crowds who come to drink and sing along.
The band started out as hobby, playing a few gigs at a bar in Odessa, Texas. They named themselves Treaty Oak after a sacred meeting place for Comanche and Tonkawa natives in Austin.
The groups found they had a knack for winning over crowds, which earned them larger and larger gigs.
They recorded their first album in 2021, mainly because of fans who kept asking for music on streaming services.
That independently recorded album — made mostly to “shut fans up,” the band says — has since gone platinum.
Recent releases “Bad State of Mind” and “Happy Face” have both made the top 30 on Billboard’s country chart, with the latter now certified gold.
Their opener is Nashville’s Jessie Murph, another artist who rose to fame independently, after uploading videos to TikTok and YouTube. She signed a record deal with Columbia Records in 2021, releasing debut single, “Upgrade.”
One of her most recent hits is “Blue Strips,” a top 20 single.
She’s also released two studio albums, “That Ain’t No Man That’s the Devil” in 2024 and “Sex Hysteria” in 2025.

Western AF-Propelled Band Red Clay Strays
One of the other up-and-coming artists performing at Cheyenne Frontier Days caught a break from Wyoming’s Western AF, run by two Laramie, Wyoming-based videographers who have been on a mission to shake up the country music landscape.
Western AF has helped highlight all kinds of rising artists, helping them get noticed in a big way.
One of those groups, which will be performing next year at Cheyenne Frontier Days, is the alt-country group Red Clay Strays, best known for their breakout hit 2022 single “Wondering Why.”
The Alabama band’s self-released song racked up more than 426 million streams on Spotify alone and was their first to make the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
It was after the group signed up with media platform Western AF’s YouTube series “Live AF,” however, that things really began taking off. One of their Live AF performances went viral, getting Red Clay Strays noticed by all the right eyeballs.
The group has since signed a deal with RCA Records, followed by a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music.
The accolades for this young band have been piling up since.
It was Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2024 Americana Awards and winning New vocal Duo or Group at the 2025 ACM Awards.
They also got to deliver a killer performance of their latest single “People Hatin’” at the 59th annual CMA awards, before going on to their first CMA win as Vocal Group of the Year.
