Eagles’ pick in recent 2026 NFL mock draft fits Howie Roseman’s history

Destin Adams and Tyler Forness combined to create a one-round mock draft for the 2026 class, and Philadelphia’s pick shouldn’t shock a single soul. It’s a selection that aligns with how Roseman has operated when he’s found the moss success in selecting rookies.

29. Philadelphia Eagles: Keldric Faulk, Edge, Auburn

“A player once believed to be a top 10 lock is now falling down a lot of people’s boards. Auburn’s Keldric Faulk already sounds like an Eagle.” – Destin Adams

This pick makes sense at multiple levels. The pass rush for the Eagles has struggled at times this season, and it is unknown if they will have Jaelan Phillips in the fold past this season. Fans surely hope they re-sign him this offseason after trading away a third-round pick in that deal, but it isn’t set in stone.

Additionally, Faulk is a swing on potential as a prospect. At his peak, he looks like one of the top defensive prospects in this class. At other times, he doesn’t look nearly like a first-round pick, let alone an impactful projection for the NFL. This season has been an inconsistent one for him, but the flashes will interest plenty of scouts still.

“Despite that slow start, several people at the next level still have a high opinion of Faulk. The junior might be the product of a less than advantageous situation, or at least it seems that way. 

‘He’s getting lost on a bad team,” a scout from the NFC East said. “Great leader. One of the most versatile defensive players in the entire class. Someone is getting a plus starter for a long time with freaky upside.’” — Ryan Roberts

Faulk ‘s versatility is what can change the game at the pro level, too. The Eagles lack a type like him on their current defensive line when it comes to different styles and finding different ways to win from multiple spots along the DL.

Auburn edge Keldric Faulk is such a menace. He has phenomenal length and the weight of a DT, all of which make him a matchup nightmare.

Watch here as he (#15) comes from a wide 9, brushes the TE out of the way and causes the throw to be rushed.

As Adams notes with the pick, Roseman’s propensity to take risky but calculated selections late in round one has been a recipe for success in the near past. He would look to do exactly that with Faulk here if this came to fruition in late April.
