💥 BREAKING NEWS: Former Astros veteran ignites controversy by accusing Mike Fiers of backing the very system he later exposed in the 2017 scandal ⚡.DD

Former Houston Astros pitcher Mike Fiers sent MLB into a frenzy after exposing the Astros’ illegal sign-stealing methods from the 2017 season in an interview in November 2019.
His comments led to an MLB investigation that found the Astros guilty of creating an illegal system that involved bashing trash cans in the dugout to relay pitching signs to their players.
While Fiers received praise for exposing his former team’s cheating methods, his former teammate Josh Reddick, who won the World Series with the Astros in 2017, flamed the ex-pitcher.

Reddick labelled his former Astros teammate a “rat,” claiming that the ex-pitcher was involved in the illegal sign-stealing method in the dugout.
“It’s true, we had a trash can in the dugout, it was getting hit and I’ll also point out that the rat that ratted everybody out was down there bashing the trash can half the time anyway,” Reddick said. “He was down there supporting that system and it’s not like he was hanging out in the dugout, like, ‘This is so wrong.'”
Reddick said that he wasn’t surprised it was Fiers who exposed the cheating scandal.
“When I found out who it was, I was not surprised,” Reddick said. “Never was a fan of his in the first place.”
Former Astros outfielder Josh Reddick claims Mike Fiers exposed the cheating scandal after starting role snub

The former Gold Glove-winning outfielder claimed that Mike Fiers wasn’t a team guy and he “ratted” out his teammates because he lost the starting role to Justin Verlander.
“As time progressed, I didn’t like him much as a teammate either,” Reddick said. “Didn’t seem like a team guy as it shows obviously what he did is not a team guy move. All it was, was him getting upset that he lost his rotation spot to Justin Verlander. That’s all it was.”
Reddick went on to explain that he received death threats after Fiers exposed the scandal. The former pitcher had also claimed that he received death threats after his interview in 2019.
